ICGI RESEARCH

Background of The Event

The implementation of the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a global action plan eagerly awaited by both academics and practitioners. World leaders have agreed upon the SDGs to address various societal problems, such as poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, environmental protection, and sustainable economic growth. In 2024, we will reach the midpoint in achieving the SDGs. However, to date, the SDGs have not yet become a turning point for transformation in the political and economic fields. Addressing this crucial condition requires cooperation from all parties within and between countries.

Supporting the SDGs necessitates that both profit and non-profit organizations be dynamic and synergize with SDG principles. Demands from various parties compel organizations to implement sustainability practices to enhance success. Sustainability encompasses environmental, social, and economic aspects. Organizations must recognize the importance of sustainability and integrate these practices into their strategies. All organizations play a crucial role in shaping a sustainable future.

Researching the journey and efforts to realize the SDGs and the contingency conditions in achieving them is vital. The Business Faculty of Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana is presenting a Call for Papers, open to students or collaborations between students and academics or practitioners from various countries. The theme is “Impact of Sustainability on Organizations: Adapting to Global and Dynamic Challenges.” This theme encourages comprehensive research on the impact of sustainability on both companies and non-profit organizations. This Call for Papers is a form of support from academics and practitioners for achieving the 2030 SDGs.

ICGI COMMUNITY SERVICE

Background of The Event

Sustainability in the context of global organizations is becoming increasingly crucial. It encompasses not only environmental preservation but also social and economic aspects to ensure long-term balance. Challenges in adopting sustainable practices include regulatory changes that often vary between countries, requiring organizations to continuously adjust their policies. Stakeholders such as investors and customers demand transparency and commitment to sustainability practices, increasing pressure on organizations to make significant changes. The evolving technology landscape forces organizations to adopt new environmentally friendly technologies, necessitating significant operational changes. The rapidly changing global market conditions also affect sustainability strategies and available resources.

The conference serves as an important platform for community service practitioners, service providers, and community advocates to share knowledge and practical experiences or best practices in the field of sustainability. These forums facilitate global collaboration and the development of innovative solutions that can be applied across sectors. By actively participating and exchanging insights and practical experiences, stakeholders can accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices and drive positive global change. Sharing successful strategies and lessons learned from different regions and industries will enhance the collective ability to effectively address sustainability challenges

The Objectives:
